Iowa must begin to look ahead to provide what’s best for today’s students, not back at how things used to be. That’s why innovation is needed in Iowa education: to help all students realize success and possess the knowledge and skills so they will be ready for their tomorrow, not our yesterday.
Several Iowa education groups, including Iowa’s Area Education Agencies, have joined together to create a website (http://www.iowafuture.org/) with articles and resources to help Iowans understand the importance of preparing students for tomorrow’s global market. Through this understanding, it is hoped that Iowans will fully support the efforts of educators who are helping to shape the next workforce.
